How it works
Sounds produced in the room adjacent to yours are sound-waves that reverberate against the wall, being deflected, muffled and dispersed by it. When you place the contact microphone device against the wall it picks up those residual vibrations and passes them to the amplifier housed in the device's body, which amplifies and converts them back to original sounds, so that you may hear the sounds in the adjacent room as if you were there.
